I know you feel stuck but..

I know you feel like you are stuck but I want to tell you that you’re not stuck. I just think you need a minute or two. I think you simply are just in the space where you feel like you don’t have the mental space or the bandwidth. To lead your life by your own design and to create.

As a creator, I know this feeling too well. I feel like there is scarcity of money, but there is this scarcity we often overlook, and that is the scarcity of time. Feeling like there is not enough time. Feeling like we don’t have time to do this, we don’t have time to think, we don’t have time to introspect, which is the most important thing to do…We don’t have time to do the things that matter to us the most. And I feel like that gets in the way.

Whenever we think of, “I don’t have enough time,” it’s because we need to give a PAUSE. We need to stop expending time to other things so that we can give ourselves a minute or two because you need time to think about solutions.

You need time to create, you need time to ravel in your inner dialogue. You need time to think of what you want to do, of who you want to become, and of what life you want to lead, what you want your life to look like. You even need time to unstuck yourself. You need time and energy.

We need the emotional, spiritual, and psychological bandwidth to write that song, to write that book, to write that speech, to write that poetry, to create the film, to shoot the videos, to play the characters as actors, to plan the business idea. I feel like FREE TIME is the most priceless procession.

Free time to introspect, to be in solitude so we can hear our inner voice and our inner dialogue.

Well, how do we give that to ourselves so that we can unstuck ourselves?

I was in this scarcity soup last night. The flavor of this soup was the scarcity of energy. I felt like I had no life energy in me to create this woman I want to become. I felt like I had no bandwidth to take action on all the things that I wrote down about this woman I want to be. Because, you know, we can talk about taking action, right? We can talk about consistency, right? But when we feel like we don’t even have the energy, we feel like we don’t have the mental bandwidth and the space to even begin to take action, then we freeze and we get into the feeling stuck mode.

I totally understand you. Here is what helped me.

I decided to sit in front of my vanity mirror at about 2 a.m. I turned on the lights and I looked into my brown eyes directly into the pupil and I just let it all come up. I let the blockage be as it is without trying to change it. I said to the person in the mirror, “Hey, I am here for me now. Talk to me.” Without saying more words, I saw the many versions of me. I saw a very powerful woman of impact.

I saw a writer, I saw a speaker, I saw an actor, I saw a movement artist, a storyteller, and an overall creative genius. Tears rolled down my eyes, I felt all the feels. That was exactly what I needed. I needed to give the bandwidth that I thought I didn’t have to expend to other things, I needed to give that bandwidth to myself, just looking in the mirror, just being with myself for a good 30 minutes.

I acknowledged that I feel like I don’t have enough energy in my mental space right now, and that’s OKAY!. The acknowledgement created space within myself, I went to bed feeling a little bit more clear and I woke up feeling more energized. I feel like really just having some time to BE is sometimes all we need even though life gets busy. Just having a minute or two to sit with the person in the mirror, really just looking at that person, look at him, look at her and allow yourself to BE.

Allow yourself to collapse in the moment, allow yourself to feel your energy, your energy space, your energetic body, your emotional body, allow all of that to be, and sometimes you realize, “Oh, I haven’t done this in a while. I haven’t given myself a minute or two. I have just been so busy in this rat race, in this noise.

Sometimes, the noise is even the noise of making income….that is a noise as well or the noise of trying to accomplish things forgetting that we are already accomplished just being in our being and being in our enoughness is enough and asking ourselves questions.

Whenever we get that minute or two, which we really can give to ourselves, starting now, we can ask ourselves questions like, “What will my life look like if I have so much time to do whatever I want?” What will my life look like if I have abundance of finances? What will my life look like if I have abundance of energy to create? If I just allow myself to imagine and let my imagination go wild. What would that look like or FEEL like?

Just give yourself a moment or two. Allow yourself to daydream in the possibility of who you can become. I feel like that is one of the most nurturing thing we can do.
